UK MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi met Indian Civil Aviation Minister Jayant Sinha and Minister Vijay Sampla for a direct flight service between Amritsar and London. He reiterated his proposal at a meeting in Delhi, attended by SGPC member Paramjit Singh Raipur. The visiting MP on a holiday was confident that India will respond positvely soon to fulfil this long-standing demand to improve connections, trade and tourism between the two nations, which would impact Punjab economy and boost NRI diaspora community ties.
