Burning the farm laws and boards of the three farm laws and taking strong exception to the 4-member panel set up by the Supreme Court of India, Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh told the WSN that, “This is a one-sided panel with pro-farm laws views and the staying of the farm laws was not a solution and will further exacerbate the impasse”

“We see the Supreme Court rapping the knuckles of the government only as a judicial trap to save the situation for the government to make an entry through the back doors. The Modi government is anti-minority, fascist, anti-farmer and anti-people,” he added.

Dal Khalsa also announced that it will join the Tractor March to Delhi on 26 January in a peaceful expression of dissent against the forcible enactment of unconstitutional and illegal farm laws. 26 January is a day of protest against unlawful and anti-people farm laws and Dal Khalsa will stage protests against the farm laws.

Party General Secretary Paramjit Singh Tanda, Sikh Youth of Punjab head Paramjit Singh Mand, Ranbir Singh and Harpal Singh Blair, General Secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar were leading the protest of the Lohri bonfire of the farm laws.

Paramjit Singh Mand said, “Lohri signifies fight against repression and reiteration of our resolve to support and carry on the farmers’ agitation till laws are repealed and farm rights are protected in Punjab and parts of India.
